About
A screen that washed out to nothing
Clisicon Vault is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Clisicon Vault (clisiconvault.shop).
How this started
A first screen coated in a Jaipur bathroom, exposed under a lamp for the time a video had suggested, and washed out to almost nothing — the whole image gone, the mesh clean. Two more went the same way before the penny dropped.
The exposure time in the video was for a different lamp at a different distance with a different emulsion. None of the three products involved had printed a starting time or a test-strip method, which is the one thing a beginner actually needs.
Everybody blames the emulsion. It is almost always the light, the distance or the water.
Our commitment
Mesh count on every frame
In threads per inch, with what it suits: coarse for opaque ink on cotton, fine for detail and paper. A frame sold without its mesh count is a frame you cannot plan with.
A starting exposure, and a test method
Every light-sensitive product ships with a starting time for the lamp we sell and instructions for a five-step test strip, because your lamp is not our lamp.
Chemistry handled as chemistry
Sensitisers are listed with their handling and disposal notes, and we will not sell a kit that pretends a darkroom step can be done in daylight.
Our story
The range covers the first year of printing: frames in the counts that matter, a press that stays in register, cleaning tools that actually reclaim a screen rather than merely wetting it.
Everything is exposed and washed out here before it is listed. A kit that only works in a dry workshop is no use in a Jaipur July, and that is the kind of thing you learn by doing it rather than by reading the box.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Clisicon Vault trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
